EDF Energy Blockchain

EDF Energy R&D UK Centre asked me to help them explain blockchain technology in the context of energy. The goal wasn't to provide a detailed view into how a blockchain works (that is already available in a variety of mediums), but rather to show its potential in transforming the energy industry. I was responsible for all parts of the project - from script to illustration to final animation.

The final video was used on EDF Energy's website and as part of events and presentations by the R&D UK Centre. The animation therefore had to appeal to audiences with varying degrees of blockchain literacy. To ensure this, I worked with experts at the wonderful Digital Innovation team within EDF. They were a huge help to me trying to communicate the concepts of blockchain.
